WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW/PREPARE?

  • The Pioneer Farm tour will last approximately two hours.
  • Come dressed for the weather–we do our tours rain or shine.
  • Wear close-toed shoes so that you can enter animal stalls. You will be doing some walking, so make sure they are comfortable.
  • Bring a lunch to enjoy in our picnic area after the tour.

WHAT ACCOMMODATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE THIS DAY?

  • Professional ASL interpreters through the Hearing, Speech, and Deaf Center Interpretive Services will be at each area to interpret for our tour guides.
  • Additional lighting indoors with each interpreter.
  • Written greetings and instructions on the program with facility descriptions and instructions.
  • ASL-proficient volunteers will be accessible and identifiable on the tours, in the Trading Post gift shop, and other congregating areas.
