Project Description
The Native American Living Experience (Coast Salish) is a “hands on” overnight experience in pre contact Coast Salish Native American Life
Your group will visit the Ohop Indian Village on an extended Native American Seasons Tour, walk the Nature Trail to learn how to identify native plants and make a native craft item to take home.
During the evening portion of the program the tour guide will help you make fry bread for dessert, listen to legends by the fire and sing native songs. In the morning there are chores and a wrap up discussion. To extend your second day add the Pioneer Farm Tour, Folklore/Craft, Centennial Schoolhouse Lesson or Indian Heritage Trail. When a group purchases a Native American Living Experience only, they must also purchase the Pioneer Farm Tour (add $5.00/person/minimum). Extend this experience with a Folklore Craft, Schoolhouse Lesson or Indian Heritage Trail (added admission
charged).
$45.00 per person, additional optional group tours $5.00 per person, minimum $800.00 per group.
Six adult chaperones are admitted at no charge when the minimum is met.
A refundable deposit of $100.00 is required to secure a date, due within 45 days after calling in your reservation, for the Pioneer Living Experience and Salish Living Experience.
Deposit is not refundable if program is canceled with less than 60 days notice.
